Kevin and I went to
Mexico last week. We traveled a few days after our 5-year anniversary, and returned to the same area where we had our honeymoon. Needless to say, it was relaxing, hot, and we are already ready to go back.
We made the trip with our friends,
Steve and
Megan Kerr. They are included in some of the photos. Here are a few of the hundreds of pictures.

On the plane to Mexico.

A view of the lazy river, were we spent most of our time.

Megan and me by the pool.

Kevin's view of the ocean.

Dinner the first night.

Walking around Ek Balam, one of the hottest days of my life. If you look closely, you see a railing around the top of the ruin in the background. That is where we are getting ready to climb, and the railing is for
safety.

At the bottom of the tallest ruin.

Kevin at the top of
Ek Balam. This site was discovered about 10 years ago. You are allowed to walk into and on most ruins. It was not really a difficult or strenuous limb, but it was steep and slightly terrifying.

Us at the top.

Making out way back down. Without falling forward and rolling to our deaths.

Us at
Chichen-Itza.

By this time we were incredibly hot and getting bored taking pictures. Here is what it turned into.

And also this. These shots took a while to get. There was a lot of direction going on, and I am convinced it would have been hilarious to watch. I am very proud of our photos, and don't think
anyone could have done better.

The
Great Ball Court at Chichen-Itza. This was what Kevin and Steve wanted to see the most. They were definitely in awe.

A view of the
cenote. The top is pretty close to ground level, and you have to climb down to the water. They only exist in or around Mexico, and were formed by sinkholes that reach the underground rivers in the area. This cenote is basically a hole about 150 feet above the river. It was clear water with small fish swimming around, and was just a bit cold. Cold enough to be refreshing, but not too cold!

Steve or Kevin jumping in.

View from ground level.

After swimming.

Great picture of Megan.

One of our two trips on the
catamaran. It was so calm and peaceful, except when we were racing the Kerr's.

The four of us.

The best part - coming home!

Did you wear any of the 25 dresses you borrowed?
Those are the only things I wore that actually belonged to me.
That other couple that went to Mexico look like a lot of fun!
